ZCash will be launched in 1 day, 28 of October. Are you ready for it? If not, I’ll try to summarize what you need.

First of all, what’s zcash? As the http://z.cash website says:

Zcash is the first open, permissionless financial system employing zero-knowledge security.

Clear right?

Basically zcash is a new cryptocurrency, where miners don’t need to know who send how much money to who, but they are anyway capable to verify transactions and generate new blocks.

New blocks (like many other crypto currencies) are created by “miners” by doing a computational expensive task called “mining”, giving a proof of this computational task (proof of work, or PoW). The peculiarity of zcash, is that the PoW algorithm is ASIC-resistant, so it’s theorically minable only by CPU and GPU. This means that even you may have a chance to mine some zcash tokens with your computer.

The mining job is performed by a special software; there are many prototypes for zcash. If you want to mine with the CPU power, you can try these:

Or with GPU:

If you only want to trade zcash, major exchanges will integrate it in the next few days; market data for those exchanges will be available as usual on http://ethereumwisdom.com/zcash .
